Zhejiang Province’s GDP to Grow by 5.5% in 2025

According to Zhejiang News Network, Zhejiang Province’s 2025 GDP was released today, showing a 5.5% year-on-year increase compared to 2024, soon to surpass 10 trillion yuan.

On January 21, the Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of Statistics announced that the province’s GDP in 2025 reached 9,454.5 billion yuan, a 5.5% increase year-on-year at constant prices, higher than the national average (5.0%). By industry, the added value of the primary industry was 265.7 billion yuan (+3.9%), the secondary industry 3,568.2 billion yuan (+5.1%), and the tertiary industry 5,620.6 billion yuan (+5.8%).

Service Industry Dominance: The added value of the tertiary industry accounted for 59.5%, contributing over 60% to GDP growth.

Significant Industrial Upgrading: The added value of industries above designated size increased by 6.9%, with the automotive (+19.7%) and computer, communication, and electronics (+16.5%) sectors showing particularly strong growth. New Growth Drivers: From January to November, the core artificial intelligence industry generated revenue of 629.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.6%, with data services (+35.4%) and computing power services (+31.8%) showing significant growth.

Private Economy

Entity Scale: There are 11.64 million registered business entities in the province, of which private enterprises and individual businesses account for 96.8%.

Growth Contribution: The added value of private industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7.2%, 0.3 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate, contributing 77.7% to the total.

Foreign Trade Support: There are 120,000 private enterprises with export performance, maintaining a high proportion of the province’s export volume.
